The Karaman Energy Generation Facility is one of Oltan Köleoğlu Energy’s most comprehensive renewable energy investments, bringing together biomass, solar energy and energy storage technologies at a single location.

Commissioned in 2022, the 40 MWe Biomass Power Plant generates approximately 280,000 MWh of electricity annually. Utilizing domestically developed fluidized bed boiler technology, the facility is Türkiye’s largest biomass power plant by installed capacity.

The generation infrastructure is further supported by a 40 MWe Hybrid Solar Power Plant, enabling biomass and solar energy resources to be utilized together within an integrated renewable energy generation model.

The facility also includes a 60 MWe Electricity Energy Storage Facility investment. The energy storage system is intended to enable more effective management of renewable electricity, enhance grid flexibility and support the balance between electricity generation and consumption.
